Move over, action heroes. This fall’s most anticipated release isn’t a movie -- it’s a blue plush toy with 8 arms.
After making a splashy debut earlier this year, Thinkie the Octopus returns in a new form: soft, squeezable, and completely safe for both children and Labradoodles, thanks to expert input from our client and canine-safety consultant (unofficial title), Indrajit Mitra of Merck.
Thinkie may look cute, but don’t let those googly eyes fool you. As a creature of the deep, Thinkie is a perfect symbol for ThinkGen’s mission: deep insights, deep thinking, and a deeply human approach to marketing research. With eight flexible arms, Thinkie represents everything from our qual and quant roots to AI-driven analytics, global scale, innovation, and good old-fashioned intellectual curiosity.
And yes, we’re absolutely considering getting her a tiny white lab coat...complete with 8 arm holes.
Starting tomorrow, Thinkie will be making an appearance in the plushiest form yet at the Intellus Worldwide Summit, held September 10–12 at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick. If you’re attending, stop by the ThinkGen booth early (and visit with William Leopold and Tim Brewer) -- our limited-edition plush Thinkies tend to disappear faster than recruitment slots in one of our ATU studies.
They’re cuddly, compliant, and officially classified as non-hazardous to small children and inquisitive golden retrievers.
Thinkie isn’t just a mascot -- she’s a reminder that serious insights don’t have to take themselves too seriously. Whether she’s representing AI innovation or just chilling on your desk making you smile, Thinkie is here to remind us to stay smart, curious, and human.
Come meet her at Intellus. First come, first squid. 🐙
