Building the Next Chapter of ThinkGen With Intention and Confidence

By Noah Pines

After more than three decades in this industry, I’ve come to appreciate that growth is most powerful when it’s guided by purpose, discipline, and a clear sense of direction. What matters is how you grow, who you grow with, and whether you have the discipline to stay true to what made you successful in the first place. At ThinkGen, we are growing fast -- and we are doing it the right way.

Growth doesn’t scare us. What does require discipline is growing well: being intentional about who we add, staying grounded in commercial perspective, and never lowering the bar on quality. Our next chapter is about expanding thoughtfully, investing in the right talent, and continuing to elevate the work we deliver.

2025 was the strongest year in our firm’s history. That momentum reflects enduring client relationships, consistently excellent work, and teams who bring intensity and pride to every engagement. The future we’re building starts with those same principles.

Our True North: Research Excellence, Reinforced by Innovation

ThinkGen is, at its core, a highly collaborative, research-first, researcher-led organization. Our True North is excellence: methodological rigor, intellectual honesty, and commercial relevance. We challenge each other, debate openly, and hold ourselves accountable to a high standard because our clients’ decisions have real consequences.

Innovation at ThinkGen is not episodic or performative -- it is fundamental. Through ThinkAEI, we have embedded AI across our business processes: from research design and analysis to synthesis, storytelling, and internal workflows. This isn’t about replacing judgment; it’s about amplifying it. AI allows our teams to move faster, think deeper, and focus more energy on what matters most: interpretation, perspective, and impact.

Coupled with our Habit Lens methodology, this commitment to innovation reflects a belief that better insights come from deeper understanding of the real mechanics of human behavior.

A Crowded Market and a Clear Point of View

The pharmaceutical marketing research field has become increasingly crowded over the years, certainly over the past decade. There are more vendors, more data, and more tools and methods than ever before. Yet what remains rare is true commercial perspective.

Process excellence is table stakes. What differentiates a partner is the ability to understand how insights will actually be used inside organizations -- where they influence decisions, where they fall short, and how to make them stick. Our clients return to ThinkGen because we bring that perspective, along with rigor, creativity, and genuine passion for the work.

The Experienced Talent We’re Seeking

As we grow, we are selectively adding experienced professionals across several roles.

  • At the senior level, we are hiring Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents who can serve as true thought partners to pharmaceutical clients. These roles are designed for leaders who have built and sustained client relationships, developed a book of business, and guided teams through complex engagements across a wide range of therapeutic categories. Success here requires strong qualitative and/or quantitative expertise, commercial judgment, and the ability to lead with both confidence and humility.
  • We are also expanding our team of Research Directors and Research Managers: hands-on experts who love the craft of research. These roles involve designing studies, moderating interviews, managing projects, analyzing data, and delivering client-ready insights. We are looking for people who thrive on complexity, communicate clearly, and never lose sight of the business question behind the data.

Across all roles, we value accountability. We want motivated people who do what they say they’re going to do -- people who take ownership, follow through, and hold themselves to a high bar.

Leading From the Front

As CEO, I believe culture is shaped through one's actions, not statements. I stay deeply involved in the work -- moderating interviews and focus groups daily, engaging with teams, and remaining close to what our clients and respondents are telling us. That hands-on commitment reflects what I value most: craftsmanship, curiosity, and respect for the discipline of research.

Looking Ahead

ThinkGen's ambition is simple: we strive to partner with companies working on the most consequential medical innovations of our time -- across therapeutic categories like oncology, immunology, neurology, infectious disease, rare disease, and the rapidly evolving role of generative AI in healthcare. Across a range of product categories: pharma, biotech, medtech, diagnostics, and digital therapeutics.

What energizes me every day is knowing that our work supports breakthroughs that directly affect human health, human life, and longevity.

We are growing. We are confident. And we are deeply intentional about who joins us next. If you care about excellence, accountability, and doing work that truly matters, we’d love to talk.
